At first I was reluctant coming around the CSC.  My coworkers had tried a lot to get me to go.  The reason was I have had some bad experience with so called Christian groups.  But this time it was different.  I was welcomed from the start.  Looking back I realize that going to the CSC was the best decision I ever made during my college life.  There was so much I learned from going to the CSC.  I would not be the same person if it was not for the CSC and the people there. So many memories that I will never forget.  The friends you will make there will be your friends for life.  I do not know where I would be with out the CSC, the love I was shown, and the people.  The food is great always because of Wanda.  Jerry is always there for you to talk to.  Lots of activities and the retreats are so great.

The CSC...ahh, the memories. I couldn't imagine my college days without them.  I don't remember a whole lot from my first few visits, except the fact that I always felt very welcome there.  I'm a shy girl when I first meet people, it takes me a while to break out of my shell but, once I joined a small group bible study I was there to stay...I couldn't get enough of the place :) the CSC slowly became like my second home, it truly was my safe haven. Whenever I needed anything...a place to pass the time, a place to goof off and have a good laugh, a place to escape the world and find a little encouragement....I could always go there.  More so, than the place though, it was the PEOPLE that made it so special. I had no idea at the time, but some of my closest and most intimate friendships would be formed over the next few years.  And even more importantly, my relationship with Jesus became more real than I had ever known.

I began going to the CSC while I was in PT school at UTC. I had been going around to a few different churches/ groups on campus and just did not feel I received the same experience from these groups (not that any of them were bad!). I immediately felt at home at the CSC and always felt welcome, no matter what kind of situation or mood I was having! There was always someone there to talk to me. No one ever judges another and always keeps the CSC open to anyone - even non-Christians or those struggling.. One of my favorite things that I really loved was the home cooked meals and devo's! These were awesome and I really miss them!! We had some really good experiences and I learned a lot. And the CSC has many activities outside to keep you busy too, including intramurals, mug and muffin, and retreats. I went to the Gulf Coast Getaway which was absolutely amazing. Not only is this place on the beach but the powerful experience of the retreat is great when you get a chance to getaway! I hope that everyone can at least go by the CSC to meet these individuals. I found the Christian Student Center during the first week of class my freshman year.  Everyone was very welcoming and friendly.  I let it be a big part of my college life and I was glad I did. I met some of my best friends at the CSC and I have a lot of great memories because of it.  The CSC made my college experience very enjoyable.   It provided a great place to go to get away from the stress of schoolwork and a place to relax and have fun.  I would definitely recommend you go and meet the wonderful people at the CSC as soon as you get a chance.
